How long will it take to get my quote?

Usually, you will get a call within 1 business day of us receiving your enquiry. Our shed experts work 9 am – 5.00 pm Monday to Friday and will contact you as soon as possible to chat about all things shed.

Do I have to get a building permit?

Not every build requires a building permit, but it’s important to check with your local building surveyors to determine if your specific project requires one. Building regulations can be strict; if a permit is necessary, it’s important to follow the proper procedures and obtain one before beginning construction. Building surveyors can provide guidance and information on the permitting process and any necessary building regulations in your area.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver throughout Victoria and Tasmania; however, we will expand Australia-wide, so be sure to sign up for our mailing list to be the first to know.

What is the difference between Colorbond and Colour?

We use Colorbond, which is Bluescope’s brand of Australian steel. It is tried and tested under the Australian sun and is an extremely high-quality material. Quotes that indicate ‘colour’ tend to be an imported steel product that is not as durable and dependable as Colorbond Australian Steel.

What is an Owner Builder Certificate?

An owner-builder certificate demonstrates that you have the necessary knowledge and skills to undertake the building work yourself and to comply with all relevant building codes and regulations. It is important to note that obtaining an owner-builder certificate does not exempt you from obtaining necessary building permits and approvals.
You can contact your local building surveyor if you are unsure whether you need an owner-builder certificate for your proposed building work.

Can it be delivered to the rear of my property?

Delivery will be on large crane truck(s), and due to OHS requirements, the truck(s) generally cannot gain access to the rear of your property or drive over crossovers. In most cases, kits are delivered to the front nature strip. This is to help protect your property as well as council-owned assets. We’ve delivered over 30,000 kits over the years and would always recommend trusting the delivery driver and their expertise as the best place to deliver your kit.

What are Footings/Pads?

Footings/Pads are used to connect the building to the soil. They provide support for the main structure, similar to how roots support a tree. The main function of foundations is to transfer the weight of the structure into the ground as well as provide support. Footings/Pads are required for most structures under each column and mullion. The size of the foundation will vary depending on the size and type of structure, the site, fill, wind loadings, engineering and building regulations.
